Breast Lift

Breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that helps to lift the breasts by reducing the skin and improving their shape.

About Breast Lift

Breast lift or mastopexy is a procedure in which the skin is reduced and the breast and nipple-areola complex is shifted higher, creating an uplifted youthful breast. Reduced skin elasticity, gravity and other factors such as weight fluctuations, pregnancy, breastfeeding affect the shape and elasticity of the breast. Patients who are happy with the size of the breast can undergo mastopexy to improve the shape. Of course, breast augmentation can be performed at the same time as mastopexy for those who also want an increase in breast size.

More Info

After the procedure the patient wears a sports bra for about 1 month. You may feel minimal pain, and there may be bruising, symptoms which are normal and will subside within a few weeks. After a day or two or so you can return to work, but for about a month you should avoid strenuous physical activity to allow your body to heal properly.

After surgery you will see immediate results of the shape and position of your breasts. As the swelling from the surgery subsides, you will become even more aware of the results of the surgery.

There may be scarring after surgery, but over time it will diminish and become indistinguishable.

Breast lift is a procedure that although it cannot stop the aging process of the body, it improves the shape of the breast but overall provides a more youthful appearance to your body.
